ABSTRACT

A doença falciforme determina, na gravidez, aumento da morbimortalidade maternofetal.A gravidade dessa alteração requer especial vigilância médica para com a saúdematerno-fetal, em instituições capazes de intervir convenientemente em todas as instâncias,sobre o feto e a grávida devido a complicações obstétricas ou não.


Pregnancy in women with sickle cell disease is associated with increased morbidity andmortality and it is considered high risk mainly due to fetal complications. It is observedan increase in medical urgency situations both obstetric and non obstetric care in thiswomen. These patients should be followed in institutions capable of dealing with thesecomplications, and prenatal care should be conduced by obstetricians with experience inthe management of sickle cell disease.

ABSTRACT

Paciente de 23 anos, admitida na urgência do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais com dor abdominal aguda, sangramento vaginal e distensão abdominal. Na admissão hospitalar, apresentava ß-hCG sérico de 1.034.209 UI/L e,ao exame especular, eliminou material vesicular pela vagina. A ultrassonografia era sugestiva de doença trofoblástica gestacional (DTG), confirmada por exame anatomopatológico. Apresentava dois nódulos pulmonares à tomografia computadorizada. Foi realizado tratamento com metotrexato, com melhora clínicolaboratorial.


G.G.A., 23 years old, admitted at the urgency department of Hospital das Clínicas da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais with abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding and distended abdomen. She had a seric ß-hCG of 1.034.209 UI/L, and eliminated vesicular material through the vagina during the exam. The ultrassonography was suggestive of trophoblastic gestational disease, that was confirmed with the anatomopathologic exam. Thoracic Computed Tomography revealed two pulmonary nodules. She is receiving chemotherapy (metothrexate) with clinical and laboratorial improvement.
